SPOKANE, Wash. – Grant Elementary in the South Perry District will unveil a new mural called “Our Beautiful Playground” created through collaboration between local artist Karli Fairbanks and students.
The TEAM Grant Parent Teacher Group funded the ARPA project, which incorporates student ideas developed through an after-school art club. Students worked with Fairbanks to develop images she integrated into the wall design.
“Working with the students at Grant has been so fun and exciting,” Fairbanks said. “Kids are so creative and have so much to offer our community in the way they see the world. I’m honored to be channeling some of their joy and creativity into the new mural.”…
