Kramer Reveals Tough Choices to Pay Child Support

Additional Coverage:

Country music star Jana Kramer admits to some career regrets, particularly certain ad campaigns, but stands by her choices, citing the need to provide for her children as a single mother. In a recent interview with Fox News Digital alongside fellow country artist Jessie James Decker, Kramer jokingly referenced a “vibrator” commercial, prompting laughter from both singers.

Kramer lightheartedly acknowledged the ad wasn’t her finest moment but emphasized the financial pressures of being the sole provider for her two children with ex-husband Mike Caussin. She also shares a son with her current husband, Allan Russell.

Decker offered support, assuring Kramer that she had nothing to be ashamed of.

Kramer’s candid comments came during a joint interview promoting their new single, “Do It in Heels.” Kramer described the song as a “fun, up-tempo girl anthem,” a departure from her previous, more emotionally charged music.

She specifically wanted to collaborate with Decker, whom she calls a “girl’s girl,” and a longtime friend. Despite initial insecurities about Decker’s potential reaction to the song, Kramer reached out, and Decker enthusiastically agreed to the collaboration.

Both singers acknowledged that the country music industry often pits female artists against each other. They recalled initially feeling a sense of “rival friendliness,” assuming the other felt competitive.

However, a direct conversation at a party quickly dispelled any misconceptions, solidifying their friendship. Decker praised Kramer’s resilience and strength in overcoming past relationship challenges, particularly her ex-husband’s infidelity, and celebrated Kramer finding happiness with her current husband.

Kramer, reflecting on her past marriages, emphasized the importance of self-worth and having a respectful partner. Decker hopes their new single empowers women to feel confident and capable, reminding them to appreciate their accomplishments.

“Do It in Heels” is available now.
