Man accused of stealing copper wire from power line

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man has been arrested after he was accused of stealing copper wire from a power line in Frayser.

Troy Stepp, 58, has been charged with theft of property.

According to Memphis Police, at a little after 3:30 p.m. on June 17, a representative with AT&T reported that someone had stolen $2,000 worth of copper wire from a power line on Whitney Avenue near Northgate Street.
