1 wanted, 6 arrested following string of drive-by shootings in Murfreesboro, police say

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities in Murfreesboro have arrested multiple suspects, and are working to find another, following a series of drive-by and retaliatory shootings that recently occurred in the city.

Detectives with the Murfreesboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Violent Crimes Unit have arrested six people in connection with the shootings, which involved a small group of people.

A timeline of the incidents and arrests are listed below:

June 22, Sunday

Police said the first incident happened at the Abbington Apartments on Bradyville Pike shortly after 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 22. A gunman in a blue Volkswagen sedan reportedly fired shots a group of people outside the complex. No injuries were reported, but two apartments were struck by the gunfire.

Man, 2 teens charged following drive-by shooting at Murfreesboro apartment complex

Following Sunday’s shooting incident, law enforcement arrested 20-year-old Kevin Hatter and two 16-year-olds. Hatter was charged was reckless endangerment, vandalism and possession of an altered tag. He is being held at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on a $63,000 bond…
