Celebrate America with the Villages Twirlers and Drum Corps at 4 and 7 p.m., July 3, at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Place, The Villages.
Red, white and blue reaches a musical pinnacle in this moving All-American show. The best of American composers, this stirring show is laced with patriotic songs and inspiring melodies from across the homeland sung by St. Timothy Catholic Church Choir along with special guests Sam Reynolds, Debbie Garrett, Angie Rose, Kristin Soto, Maggie Byrne, Alec Speers, David Gehring and other guest performers from the Central Florida Lyric Opera – all under the direction of Maestro Bill Doherty.
This performance tells the story of the history of our great country and celebrates everything that defines us as Americans. It will also include a special musical dedication to the men and women who have served and are serving in our country’s Armed Forces as well as a moving tribute to those who lost their lives and to all the front-line heroes who came to the rescue in the horrific attack on Sept. 11, 2001.
This is as American as it gets with all the bells and whistles to make hearts pound and flags wave. Bring tissues. This program has been known to bring audiences to tears. Sentimental and meaningful, anyone who calls himself American will never forget this rousing performance!…
