SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The Sarasota Police Department once again opened its doors Saturday to provide a place where neighbors could drop off unwanted firearms and ammunition.
“It’s a way to give back, and help keep our community safe,” said Sgt. Robert Morrison with the Sarasota Police Department.
SPD’s main headquarters off Adams Lane and their Community Relations Unit Office off Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way both served as drop off locations for the event.
