Teens fight for gun violence prevention, lower voting age for school elections during Dane Co. meeting

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Students share why their voices matter during a Dane County Supervisors board meeting.

Sixteen-year-old home-schooled student Stella Osiedacz, who is a part of Students Demand Action, spoke before the Dane County Supervisors about gun violence prevention.

“It has affected my small town in quite a few ways,” Osiedacz said. “It really has a big effect, research shows on rural communities, even in Wisconsin. I live in a rural town and we’ve in the last few years lost quite a few people to gun violence and its personal issue and I don’t want to live in fear.”…
