Tune M1Lite Debuts as a Lighter, Leaner, More Affordable Pop-Up Camper

In response to growing demand for affordable, lightweight camping options, Tune Outdoor has launched the M1Lite, a streamlined version of its original pop-up truck camper. Targeted at solo travelers and couples, the new model sheds weight and cost while retaining much of the functionality of the original Tune M1.

With a base weight of just 322 pounds—roughly 20 percent lighter than its predecessor—the M1Lite is built using the same aluminum extrusions and composite corner brackets as the full-size M1. The company says the new model offers about 20 percent less interior volume but maintains real-world usability thanks to a 72-by-60-inch north-south sleeping platform. The M1Lite starts at $8,999.
