LANE COUNTY, Ore. — Oregon State Police responded to a four-vehicle crash on Highway 99 in Lane County on Tuesday, June 17, and later received notification that one of the drivers had died from injuries sustained in the crash.
OSP says a white Chevrolet Silverado dually pickup driven by Sheldon Bryce Moore, 46, of Creswell, was southbound on Hwy 99 near milepost 10 when it slowed to negotiate a turn. A southbound blue Mazda Tribute driven by Joseph M. Peters, 35, of Cottage Grove, rear-ended a white Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Tenielle Lynette Long-Piccolo, 35, of Cottage Grove, which was directly behind the Silverado. The Mazda then veered into the northbound lane and collided with a white Ford F-350 pickup driven by Marcelo Analco Garcia, 34, of Eugene, which was towing a dump trailer loaded with dirt and rocks.
Peters was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. OSP was later notified that Peters died from his injuries on Friday, June 20…
