The family of a teen motorcyclist who died on the interstate near Phoenix still hasn’t found her bike, but they want to know whether another vehicle may have caused her to crash.
Nineteen-year-old Annabel Force died June 8 after “unknown circumstances” caused her to lose control and strike a median wall while traveling on the transition ramp from eastbound I-10 to southbound I-17 west of downtown Phoenix, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Force fell over a barrier wall, dropped 80 feet and died. DPS officials said, though authorities did not find any witnesses who saw her fall. The initial call about the accident came in at 5:19 from an anonymous caller, DPS spokesperson Bart Graves said.
Adding to her family’s grief, the young woman’s black 2022 Yamaha YZF-R7 motorcycle went missing from the scene before law enforcement arrived, and they appealed for help in getting it back.
