Flags ordered to half-staff on Friday to honor fallen Fort Campbell soldier

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Gov. Andy Beshear has ordered flags at all state buildings lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on June 27 in honor of a Fort Campbell soldier who died in an aviation accident.

Officials say U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Dustin Kelly Wright, 40, of Woodlawn, Tennessee, died as a result of wounds from an AH-64 Apache helicopter training accident at Fort Campbell on June 11. Wright was assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
