Ohioans urged to check local laws before lighting fireworks this Independence Day

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WKEF)– The Fourth of July holiday is on its way and it’s a popular time for fireworks and although it’s meant to be fun, they can also be dangerous. That’s why Dayton 24/7 Now’s, Kysha Hancock caught up with Phantom Fireworks in Trotwood about things to know before lighting up the skies.

“Business has been picking up the past couple of weeks, closer we get to the fourth the busier it gets, and we’re really excited about it,” said Stanley Yeast, store manager.

Yeast said now that the Fourth of July holiday is around the corner, business has been picking up with many customers looking to buy fireworks. He told Hancock although they’re excited to provide people with them, safety should be a priority for everyone…
