LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A Lexington woman has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty after one dog was found dead and another severely emaciated inside her home, according to Lexington-Fayette Animal Care and Control.
Officials say Jacara Reed is facing charges of torture of a dog and cruelty to animals after investigators discovered a dog believed to have starved to death, lying in its own waste in an emaciated condition. A second dog was found alive but in similarly severe condition, without access to food or water.
