NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — While rising mortgage rates are putting a freeze on the national housing market, Middle Tennessee is still seeing movement and plenty of growing pains.
Local broker and architect Liz Gatlin, owner of Southern Athena, says the Nashville area isn’t facing the same kind of market paralysis as other cities, but things have shifted significantly since the pandemic-era boom.
“Our market has over the last couple of years been shifting,” Gatlin said. “If you think back to the feeding frenzy we had in the early 2020s, we’re definitely not there anymore and it has been a slow and steady shift.”…
