Sacramento deputies arrest suspect accused of two separate stabbing incidents

On Thursday, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a stabbing on the 5500 block of Dewey Drive in Fair Oaks. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who was stabbed multiple times and staggered into a nearby church. There, police said churchgoers immediately began to render aid and called 911.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he survived. On Friday, SCSO responded to a call for service for “threats with a knife” in progress on the 6700 block of Madison Avenue, also in Fair Oaks. When deputies arrived at the scene, they detained a man who they said fit the description of the suspect. He was identified as Michael Brown, 27.

Based on their investigation, deputies said Brown was also responsible for Thursday’s stabbing. Subsequently, he was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail, where he is currently ineligible for bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 9…
