WOOD COUNTY, Ohio — The family of George Erik Taylor, a 20-year Marine and Coast Guard veteran who was fatally shot by a deputy in Rudolph, Ohio during a wellness check in 2024, is turning their grief into action.

Taylor’s family has launched a new nonprofit aimed at helping veterans struggling with PTSD.
