Venezuelan man who posed as teen at Ohio high school indicted on federal charges

PERRSYBURG, Ohio — A federal grand jury returned a four-count indictment this week against a Venezuelan national who posed as an Ohio high school student.

Anthony Emmanuel Labrador-Sierra, 24, is facing charges for possession of a firearm by being unlawfully in the U.S., making a false statement during the purchase of a firearm and making or using false writings and documents, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office Northern District of Ohio.

Labrador-Sierra is accused of using a fake date of birth on federal applications for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for Temporary Protective Status and Employment Authorization documents last year and this year.

Labrador-Sierra was pretending to be a student at Perrysburg High School. Labrador-Sierra enrolled at Perrysburg High School under the name and age of a 16-year-old unaccompanied minor in Jan. 2024, according to Superintendent Thomas Hosler.
