Arlington’s Independence Week Bursting with Patriotic Fun from June 28-July 5

Arlington, Texas, gears up to celebrate Independence Day with a full week of festivities kicking off on June 28 and culminating on July 5. Aptly dubbed “The American Dream City,” Arlington is showcasing its patriotic spirit with a lineup of events that offers something for everyone, as per the City of Arlington.

The early birds get a head start on June 28 with “Stars & Stripes on the Lawn” from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Arlington Highlands. The event, touted by the Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau, features bubble stations, glitter tattoos, and various treats, with a showcase of local shops. On July 3 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., “Light Up Arlington” illuminates the Levitt Pavilion and Downtown Library with live music and a community-centric fireworks display—free for the public.

Phlebotropy enthusiasts and sports fans alike can revel in a good cause at the Carter BloodCare Blood Drive at AT&T Stadium on July 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The first 1,000 donors score a special bonus—a ticket to a Cowboys preseason game—as the venue plays host to a unique 4th of July celebration.
