The Beyoncé look-alike contest seemed to be a bust. Then a bus of fans pulled up to catwalk.

Just when it seemed no one was coming to compete in the Beyoncé look-alike contest Saturday in downtown Houston, a bus full of fans descended on Market Square Park and passionately strutted along a runway to honor their musical hero.

While the event organized by the Downtown Houston+ marketing team was supposed to have Beyoncé look-alikes compete for cash prizes, fans on a pit stop during their Downtown Houston bus tour to the Cowboy Carter show turned the empty contest into a showing of pride. The tour bus fans were anticipated to make a short stop by the contest, but with no other people signed up, they stole the show. Some on the bus said the cat walk was a big surprise, but a good one.
