OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Friday morning starts with a little patchy fog in the area but that should burn off quickly as the temperature starts to climb. We’ll be dry during the day with a high near 90 degrees this afternoon.
That bodes well for the Memorial park concert and fireworks tonight. It will be warm and humid but nothing too much for this time of year. There is a small chance of a storm late tonight but that is likely after the fireworks are over.
Heat builds in a little more by Saturday with a high in the mid 90s likely. That could push heat index values up near 100 at times. There is another small chance of a few storms dropping in from the northwest overnight Saturday night too.
A few more afternoon and evening storms are possible Sunday. That the best chance of seeing a little more widespread rain in the area this weekend…
