Police issue images of man wanted for tearing down Pride flags in St. Paul

Police have released images of the man wanted in connection with the vandalism to dozens of Pride and State of Minnesota flags in St. Paul this week.

The vandal has struck on 30 occasions in the Highland Park and Macalester-Groveland neighborhoods since Monday, with the majority of incidents involving Pride flags.

One of the victim told FOX 9 that the flag outside her home was “cut apart into shreds” and that the pole was “bent and broken in multiple places” and left in the front lawn.

The police department has issued an appeal for residents in both neighborhoods to review home surveillance footage and forward any images to them.
