ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, in 2024, an estimated 14,700 people were hurt by fireworks, more than double the number of injuries reported in 2023.
With the Fourth of July around the corner, UW Health wants to remind community members of the dangers of handling fireworks.
