Maryland Weather Alert: Large Hail, Wind Risk in Alexandria and Fairfax by Tuesday—NWS Issues Hazardous Outlook

Washington, D.C. – Heat will build across the region this weekend, but the bigger concern hits Tuesday when damaging storms could sweep through the metro area.

According to the National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington, a Hazardous Weather Outlook remains in effect for central Maryland, northern Virginia, and D.C. as thunderstorm potential ramps up Tuesday afternoon into the evening. A few storms could pack damaging wind gusts and large hail, especially along the I-95 and I-66 corridors.
