Maintenance and repairs this summer on the Glendon Bridge over the Lehigh River will temporarily cut the number of lanes down from two to one in each direction.
Construction started Monday, June 24, and will last three months on the South 25th Street Bridge connecting Palmer Township to Glendon over the Delaware & Lehigh Trail. The work is part of an ongoing Pennsylvania Department of Transportation project.
First, the southbound side of the bridge will be shut down and all traffic will shift to the northbound side. The northbound side will accommodate one lane of traffic in each direction for about two months.
