FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – It will be a mostly sunny and hot end to the weekend with the shot of stray pop-up showers later in the day!
The final Sunday of June is here, and it will deliver some hot and humid weather. Expect highs for the afternoon to max out in the low 90s with mostly sunny skies and heat index values ranging between 90-95°+. There remains the shot for a brief pop-up shower or storm later in the day today, but a good chunk of Sunday will remain dry.
The sweltering humidity will likely be the worse tomorrow as highs settle into the mid 80s to begin the workweek. The beginning of the day remains mostly dry and very humid, but a cold front will bring the opportunity for scattered showers and storms for the latter half of the day. Some of these storms may contain gusty winds, small hail, and heavy downpours at times. Nevertheless, the severe weather threat is very low for this day. The big thing the cold front will do is really drop the humidity levels and bring us more refreshing air!…
