HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A 5-year-old boy died after he was pulled from a retention pond in the Surfside Beach area Thursday night, the Horry County Coroner’s Office said.
Phoenix Moore was pulled from the pond near Glenns Bay Road and transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, where he died, Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said. He was visiting from the Atlanta area.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. An Horry County police report initially said he was 4 years old…
