BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Public universities in Ohio are shuttering diversity, equity and inclusion offices and moving some related programs and resources elsewhere on their campuses on Friday to comply with a state law that has gone into effect and bans those initiatives in higher education.
Despite some centers and degrees being discontinued under Senate Bill 1’s restrictions, both the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University said in statements they remain committed to being learning environments that are safe for all students.
