AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Texas Veterans Land Board, along with the Texas Veterans Commission, will bring resources for veterans and active military under one roof for a day.
First United Bank was filled with booths that provided resources from state government programs, local government programs, and local non-profits that work on supporting veterans and active military members.

“As somebody who likes to sit there resource fairs for a living and getting resources into the hands of anybody from military members to veterans, I thought that there was a need to bring something to the Panhandle, and the Veterans Land Board hasn’t done a resource fair in the Panhandle before,” said Lead Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for the Texas Veterans Land Mallory Morris. “So, I wanted to partner with our local people on the ground like West Texas A&M and the VA, because we’ve started doing events together, and it’s just grown into what is a huge community effort.”
