Get muddy at Nicholas Conservatory for International Mud Day

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Attendees celebrating International Mud Day at Nicholas Conservatory should dress for mess and bring a change of clothes.

The free celebration takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 28 at Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens. The event joins the H2-Oh! environmental family fun fair hosted by Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful, also taking place at the conservatory.

Muddy activities, games, educational experiences and mud tie-dye will be available, along with hose-down stations. Participants must bring their own items to tie-dye.

The H2-Oh! event includes hands-on activities to learn about how water moves and water conservation. There will also be a watery quiz and the opportunity to drop some drops, make something float and more…
