Everyone loves seeing a Dalmatian or any type of dog in a fire truck. However, one firefighter in Washington recently learned that cats don’t receive the same type of respect. He’s facing disciplinary action for having a cat in a truck during a pride parade.

A cat defied the odds by getting to ride in a fire truck during a pride parade in Spokane, Washington. But unfortunately, the firefighter who placed a cat in the truck is now facing disciplinary action.
If the cat was a dog, would he still be in trouble? According to KHQ, the Spokane Fire Department leadership stated that the cat and pride flags on the vehicle violated department protocol.
But it’s unclear if the cat named Selkirk caused any damage to the interior of the truck. He actually seemed to enjoy riding in parade traffic and getting attention from crowds.
