18-Year-Old Charged with Assault, Felony Eluding After Alleged Rock-Throwing Incident in Pierce County

Deputies responded to a reported assault involving a homeless woman and several youths near 152nd St. S and Pacific Ave. S. The victim said that on Wednesday, a white SUV drove by multiple times and threw rocks at her and a friend, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.

While deputies were talking to the victim, the SUV involved returned to the scene. When deputies tried to stop it, the driver turned off the headlights and drove away but ended up on a dead-end road. Deputies then stopped the vehicle and detained an 18-year-old driver, two 15-year-olds, and a 16-year-old. Large rocks were found inside the SUV, matching what the victim described.
