Police Asking For The Public’s Help In Locating Suspect Southeast Threats

WASHINGTON, DC.- The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident that occurred on June 18, 2025, at a local store in Southeast, D.C., which resulted in felony threats.

According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at around 10:00 p.m., a suspect was stopped by a Special Police Officer after they observed the suspect shoplifting items from a store located on the 1400 Block of 14th Street in Southeast, D.C.

Suspect Threatens D.C. Special Police Officer

After being stopped, the suspect then began to verbally threaten the Special Police Officer and a second individual before fleeing the store in an unknown direction…
