Milton residents encircled the deck on June 14 participating in the NO KINGS protests. Even with the rainy Saturday weather, members of the Milton community and surrounding towns that did not have their own rallies, joined together in peace and solidarity.
The morning of the protest the number of individuals who had signed-up on-line were around 150, those numbers had doubled within the first half hour of the start. While not an official count the actual number of people who participated is thought to be at least 500 coming and going over the course of the three hour Milton rally.
Long-time Milton resident Bill Beckett, the event host and member of Milton Indivisible, the local chapter of the national organization Indivisible, said that the idea of being a part of the nation-wide protest and taking action came to mind while visiting family.
