Ringo Starr brought His All Starr Band to Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts in Greensboro, NC and we were so excited to be there for it! It’s absolutely incredible to see Ringo Starr still performing after all of these years. When many legendary performers are retiring or already have, Ringo still performs. He sings, he plays drums, and he brings a band filled with legendary performers on their own right night after night!
Back on June 18th, Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band paid a visit to Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts and easily filled this giant downtown theater. When we arrived before doors were set to open, there were fans everywhere lining the streets ready to get inside. While this is a seated theater, as soon as Ringo Starr came out on stage everyone in the house were on their feet applauding. The band smoothly launched right into “Honey Don’t,” which had fans singing along.
After the first track, Ringo Starr greeted the crowd and joked a little too. He said “You may hear a song you recognize tonight, probably just 1,” then laughed as they rolled into one of his solo hits, “It Don’t Come Easy.” After that is when Ringo Starr stepped back to his drum kit allowing Steve Lukather to lead the next track, a cover of Toto’s “Joanna.”…
