Medical helicopter lands safely after mechanical issues en route to airport in Winston-Salem, officials say

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A medical helicopter made a safe emergency landing on Saturday morning after reporting mechanical problems while en route to the Smith-Reynolds Airport in Winston-Salem, according to the Forsyth County Fire Division.

On Saturday around 10:37 a.m., the Novant Health AirLink 4 helicopter was carrying three crew members when it experienced issues in-flight. No patients were on board, and no injuries were reported.
