The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 5 p.m. on Sunday for strong thunderstorms until 5:45 p.m. for Mobile County.
Residents may experience wind gusts of up to 30 mph.
“At 4:59 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm over Alabama Port, or 6 miles southeast of Bayou La Batre, moving east at 5 mph,” states the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.”…
