Myrtle Beach, SC (WBTW) – We are in the midst of typical summertime weather across the Grand Strand and Pee Dee of South and North Carolina. It will be another warm and humid night across the area. Temperatures will fall into the mid to low 70s overnight.

Monday through the rest of the week will features mostly sunny starts to the day. Like clockwork, near the early afternoon hours, the sea breeze will kick in. That will help develop a few thunderstorms across the coastal communities. This will not affect most of us, but a few may see the isolated storms. Those storms will build inland, as the afternoon goes on into early evening.

These storms could produce some very heavy rainfall, lightning, and some gusty winds. Expect to see these storms to be very scattered throughout the work week. Highs will be in the upper 80s, close to 90 near the coast. Inland, highs will be in the low to mid 90s. Heat index values will range from the mid to upper 90s to low 100s…
