Sunday storms, again, likely to be mainly inland

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A plume of Saharan dust has arrived overhead, contributing to hazy skies that will produce colorful sunsets over the next few days.

However, this layer of dry air is not as pronounced as it often is, and the rest of the atmospheric column still contains a lot of moisture, so thunderstorms are still probable along the Suncoast tomorrow.

High pressure building to the south will bring light winds out of the southwest on Sunday, which favors scattered showers and isolated storms along the coast in the late morning and early afternoon…
