MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -By early Sunday evening, southern Wisconsin is still dodging some scattered thunderstorms, though the intensity and coverage will start to drop off. Heat index values reached the mid to upper 90s today, providing ample fuel in the atmosphere. A few stronger storms may flare up tonight, especially to the northwest of Madison, bringing the chance for gusty winds as they move southeastward. These storms are expected to fade out as we move later into the evening, with quieter skies taking over overnight.
Monday brings another round of unsettled weather, but this one’s a bit more hit-or-miss. A lingering boundary from Sunday’s system could combine with a passing upper-level disturbance to spark showers or isolated thunderstorms, particularly in southern and southeastern parts of the area. While…..
