ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Duke City Comic Con returned this weekend, and organizers say the guest list and the fan appreciation have grown over the years, with over 60 guests slated to appear at this weekend’s event. The convention has come a long way since its humble official first show in 2019.

Officials say the fans never miss an opportunity to come out and support the love of comics and all things pop culture. “So even though we have a smaller population than bigger cities, we have a greater fan base to do things like comic book conventions. We’ve actually had to grow into two shows. Our first show is in January, and then, a few years later, we started doing the summer show just to accommodate the fan base,” says Jim Burleson, Duke City Comic Con promoter.
The comic con is constantly evolving as pop culture does, so guests can expect new sights and sounds at next year’s show…
