Asheville police investigate weekend gun discharge incidents

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – Police are investigating two separate gun discharge incidents that happened over the weekend and resulted in property damage to multiple vehicles in Asheville.

The Asheville Police Department said the first incident happened on June 28 when officers responded to a report of a gun discharge around 2:32 a.m. on Atkinson Street. Once on scene, officers said there was a large crowd and, while searching the area, they found multiple shell casings and several damaged vehicles but no victims.
