Man dies after crashing into power pole northeast of Shafter: CHP

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man died on Sunday after crashing his car into a power pole on Kimberlina Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officials said CHP Bakersfield Area units responded to a report of a crash on Kimberlina Road, west of Wallace Road, at 2:54 a.m. June 29.

According to investigators, the 34-year-old driver of the 2006 Nissan Maxima was traveling eastbound on Kimberlina Road, west of Wallace Road, at an unknown speed.

The driver then veered northeast and left the north road edge of Kimberlina Road, the car ultimately crashing into a power pole on the north dirt shoulder of Kimberlina Road, CHP said…
