June wraps up with heat and humidity; possible tropical mischief in the gulf

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Good Monday morning! We’re kicking off the last day of June with classic summer vibes—temperatures in the low 70s under partly cloudy skies. A few patches of localized fog are still lingering this morning, leftover from last night’s showers and storms.

The weather pattern today remains true to form: mostly to partly sunny skies with high temperatures pushing towards 90°F, accompanied by that signature summer humidity.

Looking ahead, a better chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives Tuesday as a front makes an attempt to push through the southeast. However, it’s unlikely to fully clear the region before washing out, but it will bring scattered rain and thunderstorms, keeping the wet weather going…
