Historic World War II planes take flight in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. — An organization dedicated to restoring and showing off vintage World War II planes touched down in Lexington.

The Commemorative Air Force’s mission is restoring and preserving military aircraft, mostly jets and planes used by the U.S. Military in WWII. This weekend, three World War II planes were wheels down at the Aviation Museum of Kentucky.
