WATERLOO, Iowa (KCRG) – The City of Waterloo has finished a million dollar sewer project decades ahead of schedule. The city entered an agreement with the Environmental Protection Agency and the state of Iowa in 2015. The city invested more than $100 million for the project. The project was expected to take up to thirty years to finish but the city reached the requirements in only ten.

FAYETTE COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – The Iowa State Patrol is investigating after a deadly accident Sunday in Fayette County. Officials say a 72-year-old man driving a 2016 Chrysler Town & Country was heading south on Juniper Road just before 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, and struck someone riding a bicycle in the same direction. The incident happened just south of Kitty Road. The cyclist, a 76-year-old person from West Union, was declared dead at the scene. The person’s name is being withheld.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – One person has been arrested following a domestic incident that left one person injured Friday night. Police said they were called to the 400 block of St. Olaf St. SW around 7:30 Friday night. Upon arrival, they found one person suffering from a serious injury. Medical treatment for the victim was started at the scene and the individual was taken to a local hospital for treatment. 40-year-old Ian Woodward of Cedar Rapids has been arrested in connection with the incident. He is charged with Domestic Assault Impeding Air, Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury, Willful Injury Causing Injury, Domestic Assault with Intent to Cause Serious Injury, Domestic Assault with a Weapon and False Imprisonment…
