Here are 12 things to do on Fourth of July 2025 in Corpus Christi

Fourth of July is the next big holiday, and there are plenty of fun things lined up for the day in the Coastal Bend.

Whether it’s a quiet evening painting with friends, spending time with your family at Hurricane Alley or listening to live music at a bar — there’s something for everyone.

Here are 12 things happening in the area for you to check out.

Fourth of July events

  • Four for the Fourth: Join the Corpus Christi Roadrunners in a red, white and blue 4-mile run. The race starts at 7 a.m. at the Cole Park Amphitheater, located at 1526 Ocean Drive. It will end on Shoreline Boulevard between Mann and Taylor streets. Awards and souvenirs will be handed out to runners. Packet pickup will be from noon to 6 p.m. July 3 at Fleet Feet at 1412 Airline Road. To register for the $35 race, visit bit.ly/FourforFourth.
  • Independence Day Celebration: Join St. Christopher’s By-The-Sea Episcopal Church for a day of celebration at this free community event. The Portland church, located at 820 Wildcat Drive, will start the day with Mass at 10 a.m. At noon, food and drinks will be plenty and more fun will start with a pie-eating contest, outdoor games and more.
  • Mayor’s Fourth of July Big Bang Celebration: Join the city of Corpus Christi for its 48th annual Mayor’s Fourth of July Big Bang Fourth Celebration. The schedule of events will start at 10 a.m. with a patriotic ceremony at Ben Garza Gym and culminate in a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. along the downtown Bayfront.
  • 4th of July at Hurricane Alley: Celebrate the holiday at Hurricane Alley Waterpark, located at 702 E. Port Ave. Admission is $12 before noon and $20 afterward. Enjoy your time in the waterpark before watching a film later in the evening.
  • 4th of July Sunset Shakedown: Spend your evening at Packery Bar & Grill, located at 13402 S. Padre Island Drive, with local country musicians Jeffrey Zonkel, Chris Boss, the Darren McGill Band and the Rich Lockhart Band. The fun starts at 5 p.m.

In addition to holiday-themed celebrations, other events are scheduled for July 4:

  • ArtWalk: Enjoy live music, local art, vendors and food trucks in downtown Corpus Christi during ArtWalk, a monthly event, from 6 to 10 p.m. Downtown bars, shops and venues keep the party going after 10 p.m.
  • Anthem 182 — Tribute to Blink-182: House of Rock, located at 511 Starr St., will host cover band Anthem 182 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $11.15.
  • Matt Rodd & The Midnight Buzz: Texas Pride Sports Bar & Grill, located at 3792 FM 1069 in Aransas Pass, will host local musician Matt Rodd & The Midnight Buzz. Live music starts at 7 p.m.
  • Paint & Sip — Enchanted Moonlight: Spend a quiet evening at Painting with a Twist, located at 7426 S. Staples St., as you unleash your creative side. For a few hours, starting at 7 p.m., enjoy an alcoholic beverage with your friends while you create a custom work of art. Tickets range from $36 to $50 and can be purchased at paintingwithatwist.com.
  • Bay Jammin’ Concert Series: Enjoy a free concert featuring local talents Nico Little & the North Americans and 18 Hours at the Cole Park Amphitheater at 1526 Ocean Drive. Food vendors will be in attendance at the free event. Live music starts at 7:30 p.m.
  • Bells by the Bay Carillon Concert Series: Join First Baptist Church for its monthly Carillon Concert at 8 p.m. The concert will be held on the front lawn of the church at 3115 Ocean Drive. Be sure to bring a chair or rug to sit on.
  • Wade Bowen: Brewster Street Ice House, located at 1724 N. Tancahua St., will host country artist Wade Bowen at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $25.25 to $503.75.
