Troy duo accused of having meth, fentanyl

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Troy couple was arrested on Friday after the execution of a search warrant. Paul Savaria, 48, and Jeannine Lapointe, 49, face multiple charges.

Charges

  • First-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia

The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office said it found about five pounds of methadone, 27 grams of methamphetamine, 16 grams of fentanyl, scales, and drug packaging materials when executing the search warrant. Both suspects were arraigned and incarcerated without bail.
