Poughkeepsie, NY (WRGB) — On Monday, June 30, 2025, members of the New York State Police Troop K Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) arrested 41-year-old Tamar Knight from Niskayuna, New York, after discovering a large quantity of cocaine in his vehicle.
The arrest occurred after officers observed Knight’s Ford sedan traveling northbound on the Taconic State Parkway in violation of New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law. A State Police K9, named Wild, conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle and alerted officers to the presence of narcotics.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed approximately 1,436 grams of cocaine concealed in the trunk. During the search, Knight attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended and taken into custody without further incident…
