Abington couple facing jail for waterboarding incident while disciplining child

NORRISTOWN — An Abington Township couple is headed to jail for several months after the man and woman were convicted of conspiring in a scheme to discipline the woman’s 11-year-old daughter with a waterboarding technique that impeded the child’s ability to breathe.

Aubrey and Gordon Ott, of the 2300 block of Patton Road, each was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 6 to 23 months in the county jail in connection with the April 2024 incident.

Judge Steven T. O’Neill ordered the Otts to report to the jail on July 3 to begin serving the sentence. O’Neill also ordered the pair to complete six years of probation, consecutive to parole, meaning the couple will be under court supervision for eight years…
