2 children seriously burned in Johnston County mobile home fire

Three children were rescued from a mobile home after a fire broke out in Johnston County on Saturday night.

The incident happened just before 11 p.m. in the 2300 block of Stricklands Crossroads Road in Four Oaks.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that deputies spoke to the homeowner, Charity Snead, who was treated for burns and lacerations. She told investigators she had just cooked food on the stove and left to take some of the food to a family member who lives behind her.
